Hardt Hyperloop Releases its Technological Progress Openly on the 10-Year Anniversary of Elon Musk's Hyperloop Concept Paper

On the 10-year anniversary of Elon Musk's original hyperloop concept paper, Hardt Hyperloop publishes its technologies openly in its Hyperloop Progress Paper. The Hyperloop Progress Paper details how the concept has evolved, establishes a baseline for the open specification of the hyperloop infrastructure, and describes the tests and demonstrations performed by Hardt Hyperloop since its inception. The paper boosts the open innovation character of the hyperloop ecosystem and stimulates technology convergence and interoperability between different hyperloop companies.

"This 10-year anniversary of hyperloop is a pivotal moment to converge hyperloop technology,” said Mars Geuze, co-founder & Chief Hyperloop Officer of Hardt Hyperloop. "With the release of our Hyperloop Progress Paper, we aim to inspire further open innovation and collaboration within the hyperloop community, as we collectively work towards a more connected, sustainable, and efficient future of mobility."

A key development in line with this target is the European Hyperloop Center, hosted in the Dutch province of Groningen. It is a 420-meter hyperloop test facility that includes the ability to take corners and a full lane switch. Hardt initiated the test facility, but it will be open for use by any company that is interested in developing and testing hyperloop technologies.

Mid-August 2013, Elon Musk released his seminal "Hyperloop Alpha" paper, outlining a concept for a high-speed, ultra-efficient transportation system that could transform the way people travel. To give the technology developments a boost, SpaceX announced in 2015 the international hyperloop competition. As a continuation of the first winning team from the Delft University of Technology, Hardt Hyperloop started in 2017 with its mission to make the hyperloop a commercial success and has risen to be at the forefront of hyperloop technology advancement.
