Marketing and Communications Lead

To introduce the hyperloop as a mobility system and make it part of our everyday lives, communication is the most important tool that we have. On the one hand we need to listen to the relevant stakeholders to ensure that what we develop and how we work fits their needs. Simultaneously, we need to communicate to them the benefits of the hyperloop and all the aspects surrounding it, present to them a roadmap and how they can be a part of it. We need to make the hyperloop as tangible as possible and transform it from science fiction to reality. As the Head of Marketing you develop the communication strategy for all the various stakeholders and lead the teams creating and distributing the required content.

Our collaboration with both public and private partners is at the heart of our activities. Hardt Hyperloop works with more than 50 global partners to develop and realize the hyperloop. Our marketing activities often go in consultation with our partners. Building and maintaining these relationships is therefore one of the core tasks of this position.

Responsibilities

As our Marketing and Communications Lead your responsibilities will include:

  • All aspects of daily management for the Marketing Department
  • Working closely with other supervisors of departments on company projects
  • Development of marketing and communication strategy
  • Determining the required content and communication channels
  • Maintain partner relations and involve them in our marketing activities
  • Maintaining and enforcing company brand
  • Representing the company at industry events and conferences

What we like to see

  • Completed HBO/WO education in the field of economics marketing and communications
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant and successful experience in a similar position at a company operating in a similar market
  • Experience in establishing and managing a team
  • Experience in managing and integrating partner relationships preferably from large corporates
  • Experience in communications in complex public-private environments.
  • Experience with project management in a decision-making position
  • Experience in coordinating medium size projects
  • Excellent English communication skills (both written and verbally)
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, be assertive and manage multiple priorities
  • Passion for technology/ innovation/ improving the world
  • Flexibility in working hours and willingness to travel from time to time within and outside Europe

Just like a highway, vehicles join and exit the high-speed network at any point along the route and are seamlessly connected with other modalities. Direct trips are made possible without transfers or intermediate stops.

Application Process

Apply: Send your resume and motivation letter (max. one A4 page) using the form above, note: we only accept applications in English. You are encouraged to add another file containing more information about your experience.

First phone call: We will invite you for a quick 30 minute phone or Skype call where we will ask you a few personal questions to determine your team-fit and motivation.

First meeting: We will invite you to our office so we can meet in person and ask you a few questions to see what role you could play. For this, 60-minute part no extra material preparation is needed.

Interview: We will ask you to carry out a series of short assignments on the spot, to evaluate your competence and way of working and lay out your previous experience in a short presentation. The interview takes up to 2-3 hours, and we like to carry it out in person, although remote interviews are possible too.

Contract proposal: If you are qualified, we will make you a job offer.
