  • Concept study Amsterdam Airport Schiphol

    Jan 2019 – December 2019
Could a hyperloop be used to enhance the connectivity of the airport over land, diverting traffic from traditional infrastructure and allowing the airport to focus on its economically most attractive air routes? The study focused on assessing a hyperloop network connecting major airports in the north west of Europe and in close proximity to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.

Hardt led the study supported by CE Delft, UNStudio, Stibbe, Bam

  • Concept study Amsterdam to Frankfurt

    April 2018 – July 2018
The congested rail and roads between Amsterdam and Eindhoven will need substantial investments in the coming years. All airports along the route are reaching their maximum capacity. Amsterdam and Frankfurt, the financial centers of Europe, lack a proper high-speed ground connection. Could a hyperloop be used to overcome all these challenges in a socially and economically feasible way?

  • Concept study Flanders

    January 2019 – April 2019
“The status and potential for Flanders of the 'Hyperloop' transport concept”. Deloitte was the main contractor, while Hardt, Flanders Institute for Logistics (VIL) and Antwerp Management School acted as subject experts. Commissioned by the Flemish Agency for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (VLAIO), this study evaluates the potential of the passenger and cargo hyperloop concept for Flanders. It studies the opportunities for the Flemish industry and knowledge institutions to contribute to the development of the Hyperloop technology and the impact and attractiveness of a hyperloop route.

  • Concept study North Holland

    April 2019 – July 2019
The MRA (Metropolitan Region Amsterdam) is exploring a number of development perspectives to address future challenges of the area as part of future scenario study to 2040. One of the development perspectives focuses on maximizing connectivity of the metropolitan area with (inter)national economic powerhouses. Hardt and the province of North Holland study the impact of hyperloop on this development perspective.

  • Pre-feasibility study Italy

    May 2020 - ongoing
In 2020, Hardt Hyperloop partnered with Rete Ferroviaria Italiana to cooperate on the development of the technology and assess the potential of hyperloop. The studies makes it possible to analyse – through specific technical-economic feasibility studies – the possible hyperloop corridors of greater value for passenger and freight traffic, in synergy with the national network managed by RFI, also in view of the integration with possible developments in the European transport network.
